Strike Stroke as it Happens with a Mobile Stroke Unit

StrikeStroke

Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) represents a leading cause of death and long-term disability in the United States. In the pre-hospital management of AIS patients, it is critical to establish a workflow that reduces delays in time to treatment to promote positive patient outcomes.

Advanced strategies for the rapid diagnosis of AIS in the pre-hospital setting, in particular Mobile Stroke Units, can be employed to facilitate on-site treatment with thrombolytics, triage to the appropriate healthcare facility, decrease time to treatment for both thrombolytics and thrombectomy, and improve quality of life for AIS patients. The goal of this program is to educate a broad audience on advanced pre-hospital strategies to improve outcomes for patients with AIS.

THIS WEBINAR WILL COVER:

  • Review the current diagnosis and management of acute ischemic stroke (AIS)
  • Identify important workflow metrics in the diagnosis and management of AIS
  • Describe advanced strategies to facilitate diagnosis and management of AIS patients in the pre-hospital setting
  • Discuss current evidence and ongoing research comparing pre-hospital diagnosis of AIS by a mobile stroke unit to standard management
