An estimated 7.4 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's disease in 2026, a number that could reach 13.8 million by 2060.¹ Nearly 1 million more Americans are living with multiple sclerosis (MS).² For neuroscience service lines, these figures mean sustained demand across diagnosis, treatment and long-term monitoring, with imaging at the center of each.
New therapies are changing what imaging is asked to do. It's no longer used only to diagnose patients with neurodegenerative disease. It's also how care teams follow disease progression and treatment response over time.
Anti-amyloid therapies such as Leqembi and Kisunla can cause amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA). On MRI, these appear as brain edema or sulcal effusions (ARIA-E) or as microhemorrhage and superficial siderosis (ARIA-H).³ Prescribing information calls for a baseline MRI and follow-up MRIs at defined points during treatment. For Leqembi, that means before the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 14th infusions. For Kisunla, it means before the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th infusions.³
The FDA has noted that ARIA-E is usually asymptomatic, though serious and life-threatening events can occur.⁴ That makes consistent MRI review an important part of treating patients safely, and it turns each patient's treatment course into a series of imaging touchpoints that radiology and neurology teams need to coordinate.
RapidAI is adding Neurophet's AI-powered neuroimaging analysis to the Rapid Enterprise™ Platform, giving health systems a way to leverage Alzheimer's and MS imaging insights within the workflows their teams already use.
Alongside AQUA AD Plus and AQUA MS, Neurophet SCALE PET is part of the offering, supporting the continuum of dementia care from diagnosis through treatment monitoring.
For neuroscience service line leaders: As treatment programs grow, so does the need for a consistent way to deploy and oversee clinical AI. The Rapid Enterprise Platform gives health systems a consistent way to access and manage specialized clinical AI solutions through shared infrastructure and centralized AI governance.
For neuroradiologists: AI-generated insights are available in Rapid Navigator Pro. Quantified lesion location and count can support a radiologist's read, particularly when comparing across serial scans.
For neurologists and care teams: Results are accessible in the Rapid Mobile App, helping teams review findings and coordinate next steps in the course of a patient's treatment.
The addition of Neurophet builds on RapidAI's experience and continued investment across the neuroscience service line. Alzheimer's and MS care are long-term journeys, and the Rapid Enterprise Platform is designed to help connect radiology and clinical teams throughout them, supporting more informed treatment decisions and longitudinal monitoring.

AQUA AD Plus uses AI-powered brain MRI analysis to automatically identify and quantify hypointense lesions associated with cerebral microbleeds and superficial siderosis, and hyperintense lesions associated with brain edema, including their locations and number.
Radiologists will access AI-generated insights through Rapid Navigator Pro. Clinicians will access results through the Rapid Mobile App.
The collaboration includes Neurophet's neurodegenerative brain imaging solutions, including Neurophet AQUA AD Plus and AQUA MS, and SCALE PET.
